Polyethylene (PE) Wax is a widely used performance additive, with a global market valued at USD 1.9 billion in 2022 and expected to reach USD 2.88 billion by 2032. Its demand is driven by applications in plastics, packaging, inks, and coatings, especially across the Asia-Pacific region. Oxidised Polyethylene (OPE) Wax, a high-value variant, is gaining strong traction due to its superior lubricity, dispersion, and adhesion properties. With faster growth rates and increasing use in PVC processing, coatings, and adhesives, the OPE wax market is projected to grow significantly in the coming years. While PE wax remains dominant in volume, OPE wax is emerging as the preferred choice for high-performance applications.
